What is QKids?
QKids is an online ESL company that connects native English teachers with children in China.
Classes are game based and interactive.
Classes are 30 minutes long with up to 4 students.
Requirements
- Eligible to legally work in the US or Canada
- Bachelor's degree
- Stable internet with required specs (2 mbps upload, 4 mbps download)
- Webcam and microphone
- Teaching license or ESL certification
- TEFL or TESOL certification
Hiring Process
- Application with resume, your availability, a screenshot of your computer specs, and a 1-2 minute intro video
- Demo interview 1
- Demo interview 2
- Trial class period (teach 5 trial classes and receive good parent feedback)
- Background check
- Sign contract
Pay
- $16-$20 per hour: $8 per class plus bonuses available ($1 performance bonus per class and $1 attendance bonus per class for teaching 15 classes per week)
Teaching Hours
- Class times are 6:30-9pm BJT 7 days a week plus 8:30-11:40 am on weekends
