What is Magic Ears?
Magic Ears is an online ESL company that connects native English teachers with children in China.
Classes are 25 minutes with up to 4 students.
Requirements
- A big smile, a passion for teaching and a love of kids
- Native speaker from the US or Canada
- Have a bachelor's degree in any field, or are actively pursuing a bachelor's degree
- 120 hour ESL certification (Magic Ears offers this for $20)
- ESL/teaching experience preferred
- Stable internet, webcam and microphone
- Background check

Hiring Process

- 8-10 minute demo (live or recorded)
- Live coaching
- Trial class
- Background check
- Sign contract
Pay
- $15-$20 per hour base pay according to qualifications
- Up to $19-$24 per hour with peak time and participation bonuses
Teaching Hours
- Regular times are 5pm-7pm M-F and 10:30am-7pm on weekends
- Peak times are 7-9pm every day
